Thanksgiving Message to All

On this very special holiday we are so grateful and it’s such an honor to meet and help each and every one of our treasured friends of Animal Healings. It’s something that Jonquil and I take very seriously as we work towards a much higher goal to help pets and their loving families across the world on a whole different level. We hope you all of you have a wonderful, peaceful day and you are able to spend a few extra moments to give a little extra love to your furry and feathered companions who help us through our complex lives. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Shared meatball - and extreme race team - leads stray dog from Ecuador to Sweden

Arthur the dog’s amazing journey from the Amazonian jungles of Ecuador to the Scandinavian country of Sweden began with a chance encounter with a group of adventure racers and a shared meatball.
While preparing for another grueling leg of the 430-mile World Adventure Racing World Championship, members of the Swedish outfit, Team Peak Performance, had just cracked into their canned meat dinner when a mangy, bleeding dog appeared. The team offered the poor pooch a Swedish meatball and from then on the dog didn’t leave the squad’s side....

Heroes Helping Horses or Horses Helping Heroes?

It’s our annual Veterans Day tribute to highlight an animal related org that helps Veterans. Is it heroes helping wild horses or horses helping returning heroes? It’s really both when you see what Mustang Heritage Org http://www.mustangheritagefoundation.org/mission.php is doing to help. A tremendous idea that really works. Animal Healings salutes you on this day when we remember our family members who gave everything for us.

What’s the Easiest Way to Save an Animal’s Life?

Animals panic very easily when outdoors, especially a runaway or lost pet. Even wildlife that has been through traumatic experience in their lives can panic very easily by any sound or chased by pother animals.

When driving on any type of road after dusk, whether it’s a neighborhood street, a two lane road or a busy highway, when there’s no on-coming traffic please use your high beam headlights.

It helps you spot animals off in the distance and gives you time to slow down and let them cross safely. It also lets the animal see you from a greater distance to change direction and not run into your path. This is really important with today’s newer, quieter cars, especially electric vehicles. Some people have a misperception high beams may hurt animal’s eyes, but in reality it allows you and the animal to recognize the danger and avoid each other. This is especially important during mating seasons for deer and other wildlife.

Please take the little extra effort to hit the switch and you’ll feel much better instead of the guilt, grief and repairs to your car! Don’t forget to dim your high beams at the first sign of on-coming traffic too. The pet you save may just be your own!
